HACES
The word haces in the Spanish language means “you do it” and in this instance is a call to encourage someone to act on his or her behalf to improve a given situation or difficulty.
Often, a person who is going through a dramatic change in life such as leaving their country and their families behind, not being able to understand or speak English, and being exposed to new environments, can’t help feel helpless, demoralized and depressed.
HACES services were designed to aid individuals in this process of adjustment through a genuine understanding, extensive needs assessment, sensitive case management and ongoing support and orientation to the wealth of resources available in the community.
HACES will maintain continuous collaborations with community stakeholders to achieve integrated approaches to enhance sensitivity in service delivery and expand resources in the community.
